As per orders of the Delimitation Commission, No. 168 Kashipur Belgachhia (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is composed of the following: Ward Nos. 1 to 6 of Kolkata municipal corporation.[1]
Kashipur Belgachhia (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is part of No. 24 Kolkata Uttar (Lok Sabha constituency).[1]

In the 2011 elections , Mala Saha of Trinamool Congress defeated her nearest rival Kaninika Ghosh of CPI(M).
